This section may as well have been called Weather, but i've grouped the quote and sayings by month, but bear in mind this ancient Scottish saying which i thought was a good tongue in cheek starting point ...

“To talk of the weather, it's nothing but folly, For when it's rain on the hill, it may be sun in the valley.”

A common theme i've come across is the reversal of the expected weather for a given month, hence ...

“March in Janiveer, Janiveer in March, I fear.”

and in a very similiar vein ...

“A warm January, a cold May.”
